2000 American LaFrance Rescue Pumper, this apparatus doubles as a heavy rescue and first line attack pumper. Powered by a 455 hp Caterpillar diesel engine with a Allison automatic transmission. It is equipped with a 1500 gallon per minute pump, 1000 gallons of water, PTO driven generator, a full line of extrication tools incuding cutters, spreaders, hydralic rams, and air bags. It also carries all initial fire attack equipment, attack hose line, 5 inch supply hose, breathing apparatus, ladders and a full assortment of firefighting hand tools.This apparatus has seating for 6 firefighters and provides provisions for these firefighters to be totally geared up and ready the minute the apparatus arrives on the scene. In a effort to keep apparatus costs at a minimun this apparatus actually replaced two vehicles, the 1978 Ford heavy rescue and one of the 1990 FMC Pumpers.
