WOW!!!! We cooked 570 chicken halves and was our bar b que pit was full. This was the last Bar-B-Que for the 2014 season. We sold out before the chickens came off the Bar-B-Que Pit. People called in and reserved chicken. We did not expect to receive that many reservations for chicken. We did not realize that there would be no chicken for the Walk in people. We do need to have our Bar-B-Que Committee review this process. We do not like to see so many of our regulars who are walk ins not get chicken dinners. We thank all our friends who come and enjoy our Chicken Bar-B-Que.

We have winners of our 3 prizes.

1st prize: 39" Flat Screen TV goes to Richard Paradisin

2nd Prize: Fire Pit with a $10 gift card goes to Kim Salino

3rd Prize: A $25 gift card to Tractor Supply goes to Gary Stilwell

Thank you to our workers who get up early to get the fire started and prepare the chicken to put on the pit. Many thanks to all who help set up the room for chicken dinners to be put together. That is 2,120 chicken dinners this year. Thank you to the people who mix and make the Macaroni Salad and the Enfield Beans that go with the dinners. thanks to the people who make and frost the cup cakes. It take almost 5 hours to bake the cupcakes then about 6 or 7 hours frosting them after the cupcakes are cooled off. The people who make the coffee do a great job.

The Enfield Ladies Auxiliary do a lot to make the Bar-B-Ques successful. They pitch in and make a lot of the food and prep the food and help with the clean up. The Auxiliary has a Bake Sale at each of the Bar-B-Ques and a lot of extra baking at home to make cookies, cupcakes, cakes and pies and a variety of breads and the list goes on. We also have some goods made by people not in the Fire Company. They also have had raffles for baskets of different kinds of goodies. They do a neat job and The Enfield Fire Company thanks them for all they contribute to the success of our Bar-B-Ques.
